i2i CARE TeleOphthalmology is an end to end Ophthalmic
TelePACS solution that works with any digital ophthalmic
camera. It is specifically optimized for remote and
mobile diagnosis by the ophthalmologist in any geography
and any economy. It’s also an affordable PACS for the
local office. 24hr access is available from an iPhone or
from any workstation, PC or notebook computer using a
standard web browser. Doctors are connected with
patients around the corner or around the world. The
system provides a central archive for data and images.
Images are stored as DICOM images, the emerging standard
for ophthalmology images. Ophthalmologists and other
medical specialists get the fastest and most secure
image transmission on the market today. Images are
uploaded to a secure server and made available for
real-time viewing and reporting. In addition, studies
can be easily shared between specialists for teaching,
training and consultation.
“In India, with over 27 million live births annually and
over 8% born below 2000 grams, TeleROP offers the best
solution to the ROP screening burden we have on our
hands especially to the infants in underserved areas.
With variable internet connectivity in our villages and
smaller towns, the ability to view these images and make
real time diagnosis on the doctor’s cell phone offers a
unique solution to control ROP blindness in India and in
other nations with similar demographics”
